Hope Soul Sisters "Free to Be Me in Christ" Retreat

Hope Soul Sisters "Free to Be Me in Christ" Retreat

Register HERE

Building on the joy and celebration of last year, this year's retreat invites us into a deeper exploration of who we are in Christ and the freedom that comes from being fully known and fully loved by Him.

True freedom begins not in perfecting ourselves, but in understanding who we are in Christ. In Christ, we journey together embracing our common humanity - our stories, our struggles, our joys, our longing to be accepted and belong. If we stop isolating ourselves and hiding and start showing up honestly and authentically, something holy happens: our true self in real community takes root and grows. "We see ourselves and our sisters become free from our false selves to become our true selves in Christ, able to love God, ourselves and others in freedom and in truth" (Vision for Hope Sisters becoming Emotionally Healthy Women).

We’re making space to lay down our false selves in the grace God gives us to experience a deep organic connection between God, ourselves, and others when we’re simply (and bravely) "being" our true selves together.

Grounded in Hope Church's values of "authenticity" and "community," we'll explore what it means and looks like to be our true selves in Christ. Our true selves are who God made us to be, not who we or others think we should be. Sisters, let's discover, explore and celebrate our true selves together at our "Free To Be Me in Christ" Retreat!

Wonder Aloud will facilitate this day retreat at The Hub on Saturday, June 13, 9:30am-3:00pm. Registration is limited to 40 women.

Cost: $20 (lunch, snacks, beverages, supplies included)
Scholarships available

Discover Your Spiritual Gifts (In-Person) July 28-Sept 22, 2026 - Starts Tonight!

Register HERE

Discover Your Spiritual Gifts starts TONIGHT!

Spiritual gifts are gifts of the Spirit! If you're a follower of Jesus, the Holy Spirit has given you at least one!
Embark on a lively, communal journey of spiritual gift discovery and understanding with your Hope Church brothers & sisters!
The apostle Paul wrote to the Corinthian church, "Now about the gifts of the Spirit, brothers and sisters, I do not want you to be uninformed" (1 Corinthians 12:1).

Just as Paul didn't want the Corinthian Church to be uninformed about spiritual gifts, Hope Church brothers and sisters, we don't want you to be uninformed about them either!

Spiritual gifts are vital to

  • fulfill God's plans for us.

  • build up His church.

  • continue the transforming mission of Jesus!

In this nine week course, you'll

  • learn what spiritual gifts are and where they come from.

  • find out what the Bible says about the different spiritual gifts.

  • explore what your own spiritual gifts are.

  • discuss how you can use your spiritual gifts for the common good.

  • understand better what God has planned for your life.

Beginning Tuesday, July 28 through September 22, this course will meet every week from 7:00pm - 9:00pm @ The Hub. It will conclude with a Service and Celebration of Dedication & Affirmation on the last day, September 22.

Register now, and purchase the following required "participant manual" and "two-part gifts inventory" (allow 8-15 business days for shipping):

Participant Manual -  $11.95

Gifts Inventory I & II -  $3.95

Alpha - Spring 2026

Alpha - Spring 2026

Alpha is a series of dinner conversations for people of all backgrounds and beliefs to explore Christian spirituality in a laid-back and open-minded environment. These spaces are designed to provide people with an opportunity to connect, learn from one another, and freely share different perspectives.

That said, while these gatherings will be guided by Christian perspectives, there’s no pressure whatsoever to arrive at any sort of conclusion. Our hope is that in the midst of our busy NYC lives, this would be an inspiring and centering place for you to pause, be curious and reflect on deeper questions about life.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Each dinner starts with a time of getting to know one another over a great meal.

  • After dinner, we will watch a 25-minute film that explores some of life’s biggest questions and unpacks the basics od Christianity in order to inspire conversation. Topics include common questions such as: Why do bad things happen to good people? What's the purpose of life? Is there more to life than this?

  • The last (and best part) of the night is a time for everyone to ask questions and share thoughts about the topic. There’s no obligation to say anything and there’s nothing you can’t say (seriously). It’s an opportunity to hear from others and contribute your own perspective in an honest, friendly and pressure-free environment.

WEDNESDAYS 7-9PM, STARTING 04/15
